Lester Z. Koryczan

Mr. Koryczan is one of the few Financial Planners nationwide who have met the stringent requirements necessary to obtain all three of the following Financial Planning designations:

CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®)

CFP® is a symbol used to identify the small group of Financial Planners who have passed a series of rigorous examinations on financial planning, tax planning, investments, risk management, retirement planning and estate planning. Additional requirements include several years of actual financial planning experience, academic related background, strict adherence to the IBCFP code of ethics and standards of practice, and the fulfillment of continuing educational requirements. The CFP® designation is awarded by the International Board of Standards and Practices for Certified Financial Planers, Inc. (IBCFP)

CERTIFIED PUBLIC ACCOUNTANT (CPA)

Admittance to the profession of CPA’s is based upon education qualifications, a rigorous examination prepared and graded by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and certain experience requirements – all of which lead to the issuance of a license to practice in a state. In the State of Illinois there are continuing professional education requirements to retain that certification. Besides being bound by the guiding technical requirements of the profession, the CPA is held to a code of ethics that is among the most exacting of any profession.

PERSONAL FINANCIAL SPECIALIST (PFS)

The Personal Financial Specialist (PFS) designation is awarded by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). The PFS designation, established in 1987 by the AICPA, recognizes CPA’s with considerable professional experience in Financial Planning. Currently, more than 1,800 CPA’s hold the PFS designation.

Mr. Koryczan met six requirements to earn the designation, including passing a technical exam covering the basic areas of Personal Financial Planning which include; Personal Income Tax Planning, Risk Management, Insurance Planning, Investment Planning, Retirement Planning and Estate Planning. In addition, Mr. Koryczan completed 250 hours of experience per year for three years. All PFS candidates must also hold a valid CPA certificate and be an AICPA member in good standing. CPA’s who have earned the PFS designation must be re-accredited every three years to maintain the credential.

The PFS program is administered by the PFP Division, which was formed in 1986 to assist CPA’s in the growing practice of personal financial planning. With more that 7,000 members, the PFP Division provides members with the information and support necessary to maintain professional competence and experience in the area of personal financial planning.

The AICPA is the national professional association of CPA’s with more than 328,000 members in public practice, industry, government and education.

REGISTERED PRINCIPAL

Mr. Koryczan has successfully passed the Series 24 Exam. This exam qualifies individuals required to register as general securities principals in order to manage or supervise the member’s investment banking or securities business for corporate securities, direct participation programs and investment company products/variable contracts. Mr. Koryczan is a Registered Principal with FSC Securities Corporation, Member FINRA/SIPC & Member of AIG Advisor Group.

On the subject of Financial Planning, Mr. Koryczan has conducted numerous seminars for institutions, the general public, and various professional associations such as the Illinois CPA Society. Mr. Koryczan has been in the financial services industry since 1977 with a concentration in investment, tax and retirement planning since 1985.

Robert L. Jones

Mr. Jones has met the stringent requirements necessary to obtain the following Financial Planning designation:
